Dragon Quest Builder, Possible Return of Burnout Paradise and more….

Dragon Quest Builders – Nintendo of America announced at 8:00AM EST that Dragon Quest Builders will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 9, 2018.  “Generations ago, the realm of Alefgard was plunged into darkness by the terrible and treacherous Dragonlord, ruler of all monsters.  Mankind was robbed of the power to build and forced to wander the ruins of their former home, scrounging and scavanging in the dust to survive.  Now it’s up to you, a Legendary Builder chosen by the Goddess herself, to return the power of creation to the people and rebuild Alefgard.  Only when the wonder of imagination has been returned will mankind be able to overthrow the evil Dragonlord once and for all!” [Dragon Quest Website]

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus – Pac-Man is back in a package that takes the highlights of past Pac-Man’s and kicks it up to the next level.  The game features 3d graphics and funky visuals.  The game will add a unique play mode specifically for the Nintendo switch and will be releasing in 2018.

Mini Metro – Mini Metro was a smash hit when it released on PC in 2014.  The game made transitions to mobile devices in 2015 and 2016 where it was given rave reviews.  The game has a very simple yet challenging premise.  You manage a cities subway system and place down routes, trains and manage stops as they pop up.  In the beginning it seems pretty straight forward but the action gets pretty intense once you have 3-5 lines and people are backing up.  The team behind Mini Metro has announced that the game will be releasing in 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.

My Hero Academia: One’s Justice – My Hero Academia: One’s Justice is based on the popular comedy adventure manga and anime series.  The story follows Izuku Midoriya who is the only boy without superpowers.  Izuku is scouted by the world’s greatest hero who bestows on the boy some of his powers after recognizing his value.   The blurb on the website states “Fight, for every justice–.  My Hero Academia appears as a battle action game where “Quirks” collide!  Experience diverse battles on Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch through realistic stage distruction by using superhuman powers called “Quirks”, and take full advantage of the buildings and walls placed throughout the stage.  Go Plus Ultra with My Hero Academia: One’s Justice.”  The game is slated for release in 2018.

Burnout Paradise Rumor – Rumors abound of the return of Burnout Paradise for the PS4, XBox One and Nintendo Switch.  This was due to a listing by the Brazilian website Gamespress.  The listing has since been removed, but there was also a Brazilian retailer that listed the game for release in 2018.  So does this mean a return for one of Criterion’s best racing game?
